The Truth about Diet and Weight Loss

The Truth about Diet and Weight Loss I want to talk tonight about weight loss. It’s a subject everyone is worried about. And the problem is that diets don’t work. Everybody has tried a diet. I haven’t met a person yet that’s hasn’t tried something, from kids to people in their eighties; everybody has tried some kind of diet and they just don’t work. In recent studies when they looked at a lot of their major diets (some good one’s, Atkins, The Zone), they put them all together statistically and found a ten pound weight loss on average. Now, these people lost a hundred pounds and gained it back of course. But, all that work, all that money, all those videos, for ten pounds of weight loss? So the truth is, we have to find a life style that will allow you to stay at a weight that is healthy for you. That’s a much different way of thinking than all this crash dieting that goes on. What you have to learn is how to take care of yourself; you have to learn the appropriate foods; you have to make better choices. That’s the only way it’s going to work. another myth is if you eat at night it turns into fat. Well thiers not much a a difference in metabolism when your sleeping, or at your office sitting down at a desk. Even excersice itself does not burn alot of calories, walking for an hour only burns a few hundred calories. So your metabolism does not slow down THAT much when you sleep. IT still comes down to calories in calories out like a bank manager with numbers. I eat a huge meal every night and i get leaner when i watch my calories.

also a calorie deficit of 300 to 500 is perfect for wieght loss. Also for those people wondering can you build muscle taking it less calories. YES you can because the body will suppliment the difference from your body fat. Only in extreme athletes like bodybuidlers going for competition when thier already soo lean its hard to maximize muscle and maximize fat loss without sactificing muscle. But for the average person 300-500 calorie deficit is great for loosing fat AND gaining muscle. good luck

  3. In the last 3 months, I’ve lost 30 pounds.

I went to a weight loss hypnotist, and he implanted “reminders” in my mind.

I haven’t had cake, cookies, soda, pizza, bagels, chinese take-out, pasta, chocolates, sausages, or any kind of processed food since Election Day.

I attribute my amazing weight loss to giving up processed food and doing all my own cooking.

    hi

search youtube for the video FOOD MATTERS and also FOOD INC

it will explain how to improve your diet.

  21. but your tip is still clueless

take out sugar and drinks and that will be as easy as that ?? and then to recommend a movie or video to prove your point??

no, it is all about life style. Changes. I became vegetarian 3 years ago and got down up to 210lbs. Right now, I am at 220lbs. Due to not being to work out and exercise. It is all about following good eating habits and having some form of an active life style.

Videos do not help. Life style changes do

  22. Nice dieting video. Have you every thought about writing articles? I would love for you to write a few for planned-diet

  23. @rgchrono
Videos help guide ur lifestyle choices. Watching one doesn’t help, learning from it does.
